Are emotional competencies mediators between attachment and relationship satisfaction in young couples?

The aim of this paper is to study the relationship between attachment and satisfaction with partner relationship, considering mediating role emotional competences, taking into account influence gender, age, duration relationship. 265 Spanish youths (59.2% women) 18 36 years age a current participated in study. most relevant results indicate that subjects dismissive avoidant style show less satisfaction. Along fearful style, they are ones poorest skills. Attachment anxiety avoidance negatively related satisfaction, being mediated by regulation. importance developing education programs as way mitigating effect an insecure discussed.
